This website was created by Tyler Anderson, a student in the Master of Arts in Teaching program at North Carolina State University.  He is working towards a degree in middle grades social studies education.  Tyler believes classic rock album covers are great tools for teaching about the past.  Many rock albums from the 1960's and 1970's provide a snapshot of the time period.  An album cover provides a musician with a platform to make social, political, and artistic statements.  Analysis of these statements is beneficial in better understanding the social climate of the time period.   As an avid music fan, Tyler plans on implementing music into his teaching whenever possible.
